random folder pop up on desktop

A file keeps popping out on my desktop. named "native" every time I delete it it pops out again. I never created a folder of it..

I placed them all into one folder that I created and left it on my desktop while I finished my work and then I checked back an hour later and 400 more folders were created again. I tried putting them into the folder again but it was asking me if I wanted to replace a folder already in the folder I created. The same folders keep popping up on my desktop and this continued to happen three or four more times and I kept moving them into folders I created to get rid of the clutter until I could get it fixed. I did a malwarebytes scan and it detected nothing so Im not sure what the problem is and if I should bring it into the store.

Random Folders Generating on my Desktop (2021 Mac Book Pro 16 M1 Max and 2017 iMac Pro) Same as the previous submissions. Random file folders with alpha numbers and the subfolders about 3gb. Then it writes to a new folder. Occurs on both MBP and iMac Pro.

CentralGeo folder??? I have a folder in my app folder called "CentralGeo." I have no idea what it does. I have tried to delete it several times. Keeps coming back. Is this something in the new OS? Or a Trojan horse? Thanks MP

Does this occur for a different user, e.g., Guest? How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac.

Does this occur after starting up in Safe Mode?

Consider the possibility of a third party software conflict. EtreCheck can be used to investigate what is installed. You can post the report here. Someone might spot something.

I also have this problem, ran Malwarebytes & EtreCheck, and it was not decided on either program.

One day this file folder named Native just appeared on my desktop. I never created this folder and there appears to be nothing in it.

Good to know that I am not the only crazy person that had no clue why this folder is on both of my MAC’s. Hopefully cricut gets this fix soon.

This is happening for me as well.

I am the only user on my macbook.

There is no guest profile.

It just appeared one day. Will try etrecheck
