Phone call from apple about breach of my Apple ID

Also, the caller id number shown on scam and marketing calls is rarely the number actually originating the call. The number is usually spoofed.

Its fake. Its a scam. Apple will never call you out of the blue for any reason whatsoever. They only call you if you had previsouly set up a call back with them for some issue.

You can verify your Apple ID by logging in to https://appleid.apple.com from any computer or device, or simply trying to do something on your Apple devices that would require your Apple ID such as opening your Apple ID from Settings->Account->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID->View Apple ID.
