I keep getting "logging out failed" on my old Mac, and "there is a problem with my Apple ID email" on my new Mac. HELP

I am trying to use the migration assistant to transfer everything from my 2015 MacBook Air to my 2020 MacBook Pro and on my old Mac I get a message that says "logging out failed" and on my new Mac I get a message that says there is a problem with my iCloud account. I have done all of the steps on the support on here, but it still won't work. Does anyone know what's going on? I would try and connect the two computers, but I don't have a cord that will connect the two. Thanks in advance.
