Does the Apple warranty work across countries?

Hi. I'm from Norway and I'm thinking of buying a new iPhone for my wonderful girlfriend in the Philippines. The only thing I wonder is that if she has a problem with it, can she go to an AASP in Ph and have the phone fixed under warranty? (Otherwise I'd have to buy the phone there)

Does AppleCare+ provide world wide coverage? Could someone clarify if an iPhone has international warranty coverage? In addition, what about AppleCare+ for iPhone? Can I get service under AC+ in a country different from the one where it was purchased? Thanks!

There is no international warranty on an iPhone. If purchased in the Philippines, the warranty is only good there.
