Hi - WiFi suddenly stopped working on my macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 MacBook Air, c. 2013. Code: CNW001.
Stormfront are saying it’s vintage so won’t fix it as don’t have the parts.
It connects to internet via Bluetooth fine. How can I fix this?
Is it likely the wireless card?
Is that replaceable/worth replacing?
Would using a USB wi-fi adapter allow me to connect to my broadband?

Oh sorry no. Stormfront is a store that specialise in Apple products. No actual Apple store close to us but will go if I have to. Stormfront are Apple approved to service & fix products.
They said they couldn’t do anything with my MacBook though as the parts aren’t available anymore. (Assuming it needs parts?!)

Anyway, still struggling. Installed USB adapter and now it’s saying No Wireless NIC Plug in?
I can only use Bluetooth and connect using data on phone.
in Networks in System Preferences USB adapter not coming up as an option.
any thoughts?

I’ve got it working!!! Thank you. Had to unlock the block twice in system preferences...in terms of allow anyway.
