Live photos in ‘memories‘ videos

Why is the ‘live’ element lost when I share the memory movie via WhatsApp or iPhoto sharing?

EB2020,

Thank you for clarifying that. Just to confirm we're on the same page, Live Photos are becoming still photos in your memories videos, correct? If so, this would be expected behavior. Currently, it's not possible for Live Photos to be live in your memory videos within iOS. Check out more information about creating memories here: Enjoy your Memories in Photos.

Hi! Thank you for your response. The photos are live within my memories video on my iPhone, but become stills on export. It’s a shame as the ‘live’ element adds a lot to the movie.

Thanks, although it doesn’t answer my question. When I put the live photos into a memories videos, and post this elsewhere, the live photos all become static. How can I overcome this problem? Thanks.

Thanks for posting! Sounds like you're having trouble sharing your Live Photos from the Photos app and through WhatsApp do we have that right? If so, check out "How to share Live Photos" in this article: Take and edit Live Photos.
