Connect to imac to have dual screen computer

Hi, i have 2 imac 21.5 inch 2017, and I want to use them as a single computer with dual screen.

how do I connect the 2nd imac screen to make it a second screen? Which cable do I need? Thanks

Is there any way to connect two late 2014 iMacs together, to use one as a second screen? I have two late 2014 iMacs. I would really like to use one as the computer and the other as the display. Everything I read says you can only do this with older iMacs. I find I hard to believe that a pre late 2014 iMac would have this technology but not a late 2014. Is there any possible way to do this? you can't, target display is no more after 2014

there are software that can do it wireless but the performance is likely subpar
