Random shutdown on 2015 iMac 27-inch Retina

Gang,


A few weeks ago, my iMac started randomly shutting itself down. No overheating, no fan issues, just a shut down for seemingly no reason. Tried different power cords and outlets, but the problem persists.


It's two years past AppleCare, but research is pointing toward a bad power supply.


Have other folks here had this issue? Does Apple do anything about it when the machine is out of the warranty period?

Out of Warranty, very, very rarely. :(


You can save us asking dozens of questions by submitting a report from this App for us to look at…

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
