Mobile Data menu is blank in the iphone 8 plus

Cannot connect to the carrier as the mobile data option menu in settings is blank. Personal Hotspot option has also disappeared from the setting menu. I have tried to reset network settings, rest all settings, take out and reinsert the SIM, power On/Off. But nothing helps. I think the phone does not recognise the SIM also.
