iPad Pro 2nd gen - support of external monitor

Hello

i have an iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation), Model number MQDA2RK/A.

software running 13.5.1

I bought a cable of Lightning-to-USC-C in order to connect the iPad to an external monitor through the USB-C port that is in the monitor.

Monitor is Dell-U49DW.

One I connected the iPad to the screen, it started charging it but it doesn’t show any image on the screen.

I have verified that the screen is set to display USB-C port.

Can you please help?

Hello,

I personally have an iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) and the way I use an external display is with Apple’s Lightning to Digital AV Adapter. Most displays (DVI, DisplayPort, etc) can be adapted to use HDMI.

Hello,

This will not work. USB-C peripherals cannot be adapted for use on iPad models with the Lightning connector. Apple’s Lightning to USB-C lead only supports charging iPad from USB-C power adapters.
