I agree with Kaz-K's advice because this is my first time purchasing a MacBook Air 2020 and I did not want to spend $100.00 more to upgrade it to Intel Core i5 and then something goes wrong. It is not the Intel Core issue, it is the aging of the older Apple laptops for the slow speed. I had an Apple Specialist who helped me to pick a laptop of my choice. I am on a budget so I did not want to spend $500.00 or more on too many upgrades. I am fine with upgrading my storage space than the Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processor. I purchased a laptop for work, FaceTime and texting my friends. The MacBook Pro would have been a best choice for you for better Intel Core processor since the MacBook Pro laptops are very expensive.
