Photo Stream

Hello there,

unfortunately my Photo Stream on my Macbook does not sync to that of my iPhone anymore. Sometimes it syncs, but before I noticed I had to import the missing photos via AirDrop to have these on my Macbook. I read online, that the Photo Stream only syncs to 30 days back. Does anybody know, if this is true?

And can anybody help me with my problem please?

My photo stream not working Something isn't right on my iMac for My Photo Stream. I can't get Photos to receive photos from my iPad or iPhones, but the iMac does seem to send them. My Photo Stream seems to work OK between the iPad and the iPhone. I have iCloud set up and logged in, and I have enabled My Photo Stream in my Photos preferences, but am not using iCloud Photos - the iMac is my master repository for all my photos (backed up of course) and I don't see any need to pay for extra iCloud storage. Photostream not syncing on MacBook I have an iPhone XR and a MacBook Air. Both devices have photo stream switched on and both are logged into the same apple ID When I take a photo on my phone it immediately transfers it to an album called Photostream. However this does not then appear on my MacBook I have tried this several times and have waited up to half a day, and nothing appears on my Macbook When I go into setting on the MacBook turn off photo stream and then turn it back on a few seconds later, the photos appear Is there something im missing ? Is there a setting that needs to be on ? Very confused and any help would be appreciated

Duplicates images in Photos app I've noticed that my Mac Mini automatically imports photos from my iPhone 11, but when I later plug my iPhone into the Mac (to delete images and clear up space), all of the previously (auto) imported images are still there in the Import All New Items list. If I hit Import (with the Delete after Import option on), I end up with duplicate copies in my Mac photo library. The issue seems to be that when Photos on the Mac automatically imports images from the iPhone, it doesn't delete them from the iPhone. Or is it maybe a symptom of the iCloud/My Photo Stream function? Do I have a fouled up preference somewhere? Or am I missing something obvious?

Photos from My Photo Stream stay on the iCloud server for 30 days from the date you upload them to My Photo Stream.
