Catalina 10.15.6 cannot sync

Hello, my macbook cannot sync with my iPhone. If i connect the cable with my phone, nothing happens. I tested the cable and the phone on another iMac and it works perfectly. I notice that on this macbook i do not have iTunes. I only have Music, don't know if this is how Apple has organised things. Anyone can help understand why i cannot connect my phone to my computer?
