Brand new macbook pro getting hot

Just bought a brand new macbook pro and it gets really hot when running pretty much any large application. The vent is clean, it's on a desktop and the CPU is never overloaded or anything. I don't really understand what's going on and whether or not I should be concerned.

There are applications and utilities within Mac to see what's going on.

The symptoms could be caused by anything, including Spotlight Indexing.

Activity Monitor can be helpful, also start in Safe mode and see if that helps.

If the battery hasn't been used much, do not let it run flat; that only increases

count of Cycles. ~ There is an automatic software to help with Battery health.
