Every time I want to download a free app from the App Store, it requires me to: double click the power button verify face There seems to be no way to disable it for free apps, except removing Face ID entirely. Face ID If an App doesn't ask if you want Face ID to open it is there any way to apply it to that App?

Face ID I can use facial recognition to open existing apps but cannot use it to download new apps or to pay- such as Lyft or Apple Pay. Any suggestions?

Settings > Face ID & Passcode > iTunes & App Store - off

(Applies to all purchases, not just in-App)
