Battery Service Recommended on a new MBP 16
I just purchased a MacBook Pro 16. The battery is fully charged and whether the power adapter is plugged in or not, I'm seeing a Service Recommended message.
Anyone know why this is occurring? Thanks!

Which macOS are you using on your new MacBook Pro? Tell me that it is not Big Sur Beta.
If you are using a released version of MacOS then please try the following two tasks and see if that resolves it.

Ask this in the Developer Forums:
Being still in the stage of development... Beta Software questions are to be asked in the Developer Forums. So, go here to ask this question: developer.apple.com. You are likely to get the answer you need in there.
There is no resolution for this on Big Sur BETA. Every time you reboot then the issue will persist. You will need to wait for the release version for the resolve or keep dealing with it throughout the BETA cycle.
Furthermore, we cannot discuss BETA software in these forums however I wanted to get you the above information.

FYI, neither you nor us is allowed to discuss anything at all that could be beta related. Apple views betas as confidential and your NDA and the terms here do not allow any discussion or mention of a beta. Your only recourse is to use the feedback assistant and report the problem to Apple.
Hi guys,
Thanks for your replies, I appreciate it, but the beta is on a different start up drive and for personal use only. I was having issues with the Battery Service Recommended message on my "10.15.6" start up drive. I should not have mentioned the beta.
This has been rectified in 10.15.6 using the NVRAM/PRAM.
Unfortunately, there is no forum for public betas - aside from using the feedback assistant to report problems, you are on your own entirely. The developer forums are not for public betas; they can be used if you are running the developer beta ($$).
FWIW, it doesn't matter what disk on for what purpose your beta is installed on - if you are on a beta, it cannot be discussed and it can be assumed that any problem is the result of that beta.
Hi Axel, I am using BS beta, but this also occurred with 10.15.6. After resetting the NVRAM/PRAM, the Service Recommended message disappeared.
Thanks!
