"not enough free space" but there is!
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help. I recently deleted a lot of files and cleared up over 100GB of storage (and yes, the trash is 100% empty) but when I try backup my iPhone to my Macbook and I keep getting an error saying there is not enough free space. When I click About This Mac > Storage it confirms that I have 120.64GB available. iTunes shows that my 128GB iPhone has 46GB free, therefore the backup size is 82GB, which should more than easily fit on my 120GB available storage.
Any suggestions? I have tried using CleanMyMac3 and it says it's cleared everything but I still get the error. Note I wonder if maybe the issue is linked to CleanMyMac3 deleting my old iPhone backups but not completely? That's just a guess though as they would have been the biggest chunk of the space I deleted.
Thanks
