Final Cut Pro cannot save changes to "Untitled."

Every time I try and open FCPX and make edits on a project, I receive a message that states, "Final Cut Pro cannot save changes to 'Untitled.' The storage location for one or more libraries is no longer available. The libraries will be closed so that no work is lost." Any idea what to do? I tried to delete stuff of my laptop, but that didn't help. I'm worried I'm going to lose my projects! I would love and appreciate any guidance or help!!!!

Yes, Untitled is the name of the library (I don't know how to change it haha). It opens in FCP, but as soon as it try and edit, it crashes. I can't find it in Finder.

I realized I have a software update. Do you think this could be the reason?

Did you locate the library on your hard drive?

What updated from what to what? (Switch off auto updates in Software Updates and the App Store.)

If the application crashes hold Opt-Cmd as you launch FCP to reset the preferences, which were probably corrupted by the crash.

Where is “Untitled” stored? Is it on an external drive? How is it connected and formatted?

Do a Finder search. Cmd-F and search by name.

Isn’t Untitled the name of the library? Is it open in FCP? If it is, select it and press Cmd-Shift-R to reveal it in the Finder.

With FCP closed, just rename the file in the Finder.

Or inside FCP, click the name and type the new one.

I still haven't been able to locate it.

I have Mojave 10.14.6 and I would be updating it to Catalina.

That won't delete anything in my FCP library, right?
