Recovered files in my trash can...

Hi, every time I start up my 2019 Mac Pro, running 10.15.6, there's a Recovered file folder in the trash can, and in the folder plist files.

Here are some examples:

com.apple.ncplugin.weather.plist.7TAK5Fb

com.apple.parsecd.plist.ee3Fhvj

com.avid.AudioServer.plist.DOaW7E0

Anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks!

Hey Imagine,

That's a good question. You are trying to find out which application is crashing, and creating those files.

Here's how to find out:

Launch macOS Console utility then click on the Logs button in the toolbar. From the list on the left, locate the CrashReporter folders. In these folders are logs for every application on your Mac that has ever crashed.

Find the log file with the name of your problem program and select it. The output you’ll see here is too technical for most people but you’ll find a clue to the cause of the crash.

Hey Imagine,

We understand that the issue with recovered files keeps appearing in the trash after trying the provided steps, and we'd be happy to help.

If the Recovered Files folder keeps appearing in the trash when you restart your system, it is likely applications are quitting unexpectedly when they are being closed for shutdown. Sometimes this can happen after a system upgrade or other system configuration change.

Hope this helps. Kind regards.
