FL studio Performance vs Logic Pro

Does FL Studio just as optimized for use on a MacBook as Logic Pro X? I don’t want the software to take a toll on my device or not perform as well as Logic does. As someone who has used FL for 3 years on a Windows device, I am relatively unexperienced with Logic but am more so unaware of the technical details with the softwares performance and affect it has on the wear and tear of the machine.

Hi there,

Using different software on your computer shouldn't increase "wear and tear" of the machine. As long as you physically take care of your device, it should be fine. In terms of performance of the two programs, Logic Pro X will always be better optimized and designed for the best performance, as it is developed by Apple to run on Apple hardware and software. It really comes down to feature sets and familiarity. If you value performance over both of those, Logic Pro X is probably your best bet. Otherwise stick with what you know works. Your decision won't affect the "wear and tear" of the machine.

Apple purchased Logic Pro, it was already a well known application that ran on Mac and PC. Logic's basic efficiency had/has nothing to do with being programmed by Apple it was built into the application early on. Oddly enough, Logic is neither more or less stable than other DAW systems programmed for Apple computers.. Many users have found "Reaper" to be one of the most stable application on current Macs.
