Siri ALWAYS chooses the live version even if I ask to play a different version. This happens with most songs. I NEVER want to hear live versions. What is the issue? How can prevent this? I use Apple Music and have built a substantial library. Would deleting all live versions of songs fix the problem? Seems like a ridiculous answer but it’s driving me crazy.

Does "play <song name> from (the album) <album>" work for you? I just had a test with "play <song name> from playlist <list name>" which I thought should work, but it seems not.

I deleted ALL of the versions of that song live and it now plays correctly. That should not be the solution however. Thanks for your help.
In that case short of creating a specific playlist for each problem track I don't know how to make Siri play what you want. You should use Feedback - HomePod - Apple to let Apple know about your experience. No it does not work. Specifically I say "Play Gold Dust Woman from the album Rumors". Siri plays the live version of Gold Dust Woman. I say, "Play a different version". Response is "Okay here is Gold Dust Woman Live... Totally Ridiculous. This happens MOST of the time I request a song.
I just say “Play Gold Dust woman by Fleetwood Mac”? It works for me, but I own this album.
Is this specific song available on Apple Music in your region? It is in mine.
Siri does pick some stupid songs, like when I ask for sledgehammer I want the Peter Gabriel version, not some stupid girl group that won X factor - I forget their name- 5th Harmony I think.

I own the album as well. I also own 2 live versions. It tends to happen When the live version is the latest version.
