Uninstall Avast

Hi all. I would like to uninstall AVAST but dragging it to TRASH doesn't work. Message says it can't uninstall becuase Avast is 'open'. Can't figure out how to close it and uninstall.

I want to delete avast. however the application is always open and can therefore not be sent to trash. I do not see it in force quit . How can I prevent avast from opening at start up.
