I keep having issues with my sons iPad mini. It is a 5th generation and has iPadOS 13.6. He keeps on having difficulty with storage . We deleted all photos , unnecessary apps. He only has two apps (Fortnite and Netflix) Capacity is 64GB . At this point it says he only has 63.7 GB available, and ICloud storage is 5MB which now says he has used 4.7MB. Again he only has 2 apps I don’t understand what is happening, please help!

The recordings would take up space, yes. As to removing it, where is it stored? Is it in his photos? Or the app? I’m not familiar with the process.
Settings, general, ipad storage can give you some idea what app is taking up a lot of space. Then he’ll need to look into how he purges those old recordings.

Well, your 64 gig ipad will probably have a base of 57ish gig free space with nothing but the operating system installed.
and your icloud is probably 5 gig not 5 meg (5 gig is the standard free plan)
Does he stream music or movies? Those could be chewing up his free space.

he doesn’t stream music he does record himself playing fortnite and then uploads , would that take up space? How can we free up storage? Thank you
I think he uses YouTube and the app that says uses the most space is photos. I have cleared out all photos and videos and still seems to be full 🤦🏻♀️
