Only just found out that iAccounts is being discontinued, since I wasn’t able to enter it after the latest IOS update.
It’s strange to me that Apple haven’t found a better way of informing users in advance that apps have or are reaching “end-of-life”. Don’t want to dwell on this too long, so how can I recover my data, even though I cannot enter the app, which wants to update?

It is not Apple's responsibility to inform customers of this status for an app they neither develop nor control. That's the responsibility of the app developer. If you have a complaint regarding a specific app developer, then you should voice it with them.
Thank you for your reply. I’m trying to get in contact with the vendor of the app, however they don’t exist anymore.... Bummer for me... I understand Apple don’t feel responsible, which is formally understandable. However it might be something to improve on in the whole setup of apps and the App Store.
