How to stop Phone telling me that mobile data is off

I have mobile data switched off most of the time and wireless off too. I have mobile data disabled for almost every app in settings and yet the phone keeps telling me that "Mobile data is switched off" in a modal popup that I have to respond to before using the phone.

Every time I start the calendar app, switch to the browser, or maps, or almost any app. I know mobile data is off because I turned it off because I don't want it used. Is there some setting that will cause it to stop trying to use mobile data when mobile data is disabled for the app? Or at least, stop the prompt appearing all the time.

I have found a way to do this, you sign out of your Apple account and the prompts stop. I will have to sign in and out again if I want an app from the store, but that happens quite rarely so its far less of a problem than the constant prompts.

So, after being asked to justify the question in a surly manner and then being given the wrong answer I have managed to solve it myself. I guess that's an example of how well this community supports Apple users.
