All my desktop files dissapeared!

How do I restore my desktop files from iCloud back to my desktop?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

Turn off iCloud Desktop & Documents, then move the files from iCloud Drive Archive into your home Desktop and Documents folders.
