Adobe CS4 and Sierra

An expired discussion said that Sierra could run Adobe CS4. But on an Adobe Support site, several conditions were specified (below). Can I just use my CS4 install discs on a Sierra-equipped MacBook Pro that I am buying and use CS4 without incident, or do I have to go through these procedures? Thanks.

From Adobe support site:

CS4 may not be supported, but it still works on MacOS up through Sierra. Yes, there are a few things you must watch out for, but it does work. I just finished a 36 page color catalog using CS4 (PS, AI, and ID) without any issues.

1. Do a clean install of CS4.

2. Turn off "Automatically hide and show menu bar" in System Prefs > General (ID will usually crash otherwise)

3. Turn off "Use dark menu bar and Dock" in Sytem Prefs > General (makes font menu readable)

4. Apple>System Preferences>Accessibility>Display>ReduceTransparency (fixes font menus)

5. Trick CS4 into thinking Java is installed (see my post above)
