For a number of years, I have emailed pictures of receipts to myself, and they are each a separate attachment which I then put in my expense reports.
Nothing I do makes photo attachments anymore. Each one is INSERTED into the body of the email, and nothing I have tried works, and I can't find a solution to this bug in this community. Surely this bug would have been fixed by now?

No, since it doesn't have anything to do with my mail provider. Or yours. Or the price of tea. It happens with all mail, and only on my iphone. I tried to find ways to make attachments on my phone to mail, but the APPLE only allows it for documents not photos.
From my research, it appears that a recent update to IOS (in the last 6-9 months) introduced the bug, and Apple hasn't fixed it yet. No other users have figured out a work-around yet. Well, one workaround is buying an Android, and ditching the iphone, but I have hope of a bug fix soon.

Did finding a solution include asking your mail provider or looking at their support site?
