i want to get an apple watch but i’m confused. so my carrier doesn’t support the cellular part of it, so do i need to be connected to internet to use my apple watch? or just have it on even with no internet connection?

about your question :). If you want to answer messages or calls you need to be connected via Bluetooth. If you want to answer emails, messenger messages etc... you need to be connected on WiFi on your phone.

No your hooked to your iphone and that is how you get calls and messages.
You have to have an iphone to use an apple watch GPS non cellular model
