Music I’ve deleted from library plays on repeat in my car when I connect

I have a 2017 Ford Escape with Sync. When I connect my phone to my car it will start up with Post Malone’s Circles, and then play one other song before starting Circles back up and repeating this ‘Circle’ until I manually change the song. It shows SYNC in the bar showing the music in its minimized state (above library, for you, browse, radio and search). I need help getting it to stop playing these two songs.

I have tried: deleting the app and Re-downloading it, removing the phone from the car’s memory and adding it back, deleting the songs from my library completely, and clicking the “play less like this” buttons. It’s not playing alphabetical, A set playlist, or shuffled (which I would prefer).

Can someone please help me figure out how to get it to stop playing the same 2 songs over and over again?

Hey there DJorgens1992,

We understand you have a question regarding certain songs that are no longer in your music library playing when connected to your car. We'd like to see if we can assist.

When connecting an iOS device to a Bluetooth or USB accessory, music may begin to play. Many stereo manufacturers will send a playback command from the stereo to the media device upon connection. There's no setting to disable this in iOS, but some stereos might have the option to do so. You can reach out to the manufacturer for further questions.

You mentioned removing the phone from the car. Have you forgotten the car from your iPhone? If not, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the small i to the right of the car name and then tap Forget This Device.

Restart your iPhone and check for any updates after this:

Restart your iPhone

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then check for any updates to your car stereo firmware.

After doing this, go to Settings > General > About > Name, and type a new name and pair your devices together once more:

Test again and see if the issue is resolved.

Thanks!
