Apple Mail Cut/Paste Slow

In AppleMail when I cut and paste any amount of text the past function is incredibly slow. Sometimes it takes 10-12 seconds for a few words to paste. This does not happen on any other application on my Mac.

That's one of the objects of booting into Safe Mode.

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

Thanks. Worked in Safe Mode and then after rebooted in regular mode after safe mode. Wondering if reboot cleared some sort fo Applemail specific cache? In any case so far so good. Will try just rebooting if problem recurs.
