I have an older iPad mini to watch Netflix iplayer etc. I use the headphones which fit into the side of the iPad. Could anyone tell me if I can use the headphones on the newer version. If not what do I need?

The iPad Pro is out of the question. If you have wireless headphones, yes, but if you have cord headphones, and only cord headphones you don’t want a iPad Pro.
As I said above yes. It explains on the Apple Website it has a headphone jack
