external webcam

I have an Aukey webcam that has both video and mic. But when attached to my Macbook, I need to choose one or the other.. the mic and webcam won't both work at once. So for video calls I need to open my laptop for the internal mic, while using the external webcam. The whole point was to avoid having to open the laptop, as I have an office setup where I'd like to avoid that.
