iOS 13.6 and Jaguar cars

Folks, before I install iOS 13.6, can you please tell me; have all the Bluetooth issues with Jaguar cars been fixed in this release? (It would have to be on Apple’s side, of course, i am not keen to waste my time by having to book my car for service in order to upgrade its firmware each time Apple programmers stuff up.)

Apple programmers stuff up

Actually, this is how it works:

If there is a major OS upgrade/update, Apple furnishes betas of this to the various developers/manufacturers. It is up to them to issue an update to make their device/software compatible. There is no way Apple (or MS for that matter) would be able to consider making their OS compatible with hundreds of thousands of third party devices/apps. That simply would not work.

So, checking with your car service department is a good idea.

Updating your iPhone:

Try updating via your Mac (or, even a PC). Then install.

Jaguar and the Update:

I don’t drive a Jaguar car :( With that aside, note that as updates come out, bugs are intended to be fixed. So, backup your iPhone prior to installing the update. Once installed, try the update and see if the error occurs. If so, then restore your iPhone to the backup you just made.
