will not recognize my apple id password

when asked to sign in, the apple TV wants me to put in a 6 digit code after my password but then the Apple TV does not recognize my password

Others have posted the same problem. Did you enter the code right after the password with no spaces? Password123456?

Try a restart/reset.

Apple TV - Restart.
