Good that you took the additional warranty.. i'm stuck.. don't wanna visit the store either due to the lockdown, and they'll recommend replacing the screen mostly at full price out of warranty.

The service centre where i will be going offers same day screen repair. So i hope my phone gets repaired on the same day otherwise i'll have to extend the warranty.

How much it’s gonna cost ? Bcz mine is not under warranty

I think it might be more than ₹10k idk. I extended my warranty for ₹4.5k.

If this is a sudden hardware issue for some devices then they should rectify this without charges provided apple recognise this as a manufacturing defects and call for certain batch production. But for that many people need to inform apple about the same issue.

So I showed my phone yesterday at the service centre. As there was no physical or liquid damage they will be replacing the display for free under warranty. They even told me that some display issue is going on with the XR and currently the display is out of stock. They told me that they will call me when the display is available and will replace it in 2 hours time as they have same day screen replacement option there.
