When I text message, audio randomly turns on, I’ve tried tried disabling to no avail.

If its repeating everything on the screen: Go to Settings > Accessiblity > Voiceover. And turn that off

Thx for your reply, after I text a word a female voice repeats the word. I’ve been trying to disable that feature.
I turned voice over OFF but got stuck in that setting and couldn’t exit.
Boxes appeared around whatever I highlighted but nothing would happen when I clicked on it. I was only able to turn off voice over via asking Siri to turn it off for me.
I powered down several times using hard reset but password touchpad wouldn’t work when I ticked the numbers. I finally figured out that I had to tap the numbers three times each to fill each circle but it didn’t always work.
