I have an older Samsung TV that is connected to my lan. I can stream from Amazon but can’t figure out how to stream from the Apple app on my iPad or. Mac! I am not going to buy a new TV just to do so.

How can I stream to an older Samsung TV? I can’t find an Apple app on my tv.

iPad mini, iOS 12

To stream from your iPad, you will need an AirPlay receiver device; one of:

  • AirPlay-enabled TV
  • Apple TV set-top box of 3rd generation or later

Or you can connect an HDMI streaming device that has the Apple TV app:

  • Apple TV set-top box of 3rd generation or later
  • supported Roku
  • supported Fire TV
