Importing audiobooks from CD into MAC Catalina

I still occasionally buy CD audiobooks and then import them into my Mac and then move them to my iPhone to listen to in the car. I did this all with iTunes. I would pop CD into the Superdrive, the Mac Mini would ask if I wanted to import them to iTunes. I'd say yes and then the CD contents would be on my Mac. I would have to change the media type from Music to Audiobook so the the devices would keep track of where it was last played. On MAC Catalina CDs still import into the new Music App, but I CANNOT change media type to Audiobook. Music is the only one available.

Found the answer.

Open Books.

Highlight audiobooks.

Click on File-Add to library

Go to where the Music library is, typically Music/Music/Media. Find the folder with the audiobook and click on it. It will be added to Books.

But in Music, there is no category for Audiobooks any more so they can't be separated out and reviewed. All of the features and capabilities we had with Audiobooks in iTunes should be still available in Books.

If you use them in iTunes/Music which of the Playlist's menu categories (artist/album artist/composer is supposed to show up in your smart devices as the Author of the book? I have always used "artist" but the audiobooks frequently show up in my iPhone as being from the narrator and NOT the author! WHAT is happening at Apple? You're not supposed to "fix" things until they're broken. Instead they "fix" them and that breaks them!
