The messages I delete reappear in my inbox shortly after I delete them using either the <delete> key or even command-delete. I suspected that they may reshow from another device with my Mail app running butI am leery of hitting "synchronize all accounts" without know that does. I could not find "synchronize all accounts" in Mail Help.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
In Sys Prefs>iCloud. incheck Mail for a test.
no reoccurrence when I restarted in usual manner.

I assumed "incheck" was a mistype for uncheck but since deletion was operating in the normal fashion so I didn't do this.
