Access iphone playlists through Music app in Catalina

I only want to manually transfer music, not automatically sync. How do I access the playlists on my iphone through the music app in Catalina (when I plug my iphone in).

Assuming you do not subscribe to Apple Music or iTunes Match, you may sync your music. Playlists would then be available in Music on Catalina.
