How do you invoke dictation on the new Magic Keyboard for iPad?

I have a new 2020 iPad Pro as well as the new Magic Keyboard. How do you invoke the dictation feature while the iPad is attached to the keyboard?

The only way I’ve found to do this is to remove the iPad from the keyboard. This is not very convenient. it’s also very expensive keyboard.

iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi

I did find that I could “float” the software keyboard and it automatically hides and shows based on whether I’m in a text writing area. The dictation button is available then. it’s a reasonable compromise, but for the expense of this keyboard you would’ve thought they would’ve just stuck a Siri type button on the keyboard.
