MacBook Pro, cannot exit full screen

It does have a touch bar, but nothing I do causes an escape key to appear. There was one until a couple of updates ago. There is no escape key available for customizing the touch bar either.

No. Pressing fn gives a customizable collection of keys but not escape. Escape is not available for customizing either.

Thank you. Unfortunately if I assign "escape" to, say, caps lock, I lose my caps lock function. So I shall just be resigned to using a two handed way of exiting full screen.

Thank you Luis. Escape worked for getting out of full screen video and that is what I need it for. Any other solution takes multiple steps and usually two hands. Escape was quick and easy.

It makes no sense to me that Apple would take it off the touch bar, nor that they would not give us the option to customize by putting it back on.
