As soon as I updated to 13.6, my Face ID stopped working along with both the cameras and so has my flashlight. Both cameras have a black screen. Contacted Apple and they said it’s a hardware issue and I have to buy a new phone! There’s no physical damage to my phone and this happened right after the update. Tried everything from resetting to a clean restore, no joy. Anything else I can try?

The next step would be to restore your device, and setup the device without restoring a backup, to see if the issue is replicated.

If no improvement then yes take or send it for repair or replace

Thanks Peter. Yes that’s what I’ve done. Set it up as a new phone, not restored from previous backup.
is it possible for an update to cause hardware issues? As everything was working absolutely fine till the update. And I haven’t dropped my phone nor is there any physical damage.
