Noise In Between Cuts - FCPX

Hi everyone,

So, I've got this issue that's driving me mad! I'm editing in FCPX footage from a Sony RX100VI and GoPro Hero 8, with externally recorded audio and whenever I do a hard cut (because there is a peace of footage in the same clip that I want to remove), it ends up with a click (tick) sound between the clips! It's a fraction of a second, but it's very perceptible. Doesn't happen always, but often.

I've read something about the sound of the new clip not starting at zero, but there must be a way to prevent this!
