Stand ring hasn't closed

Evening,

I've moved for 13/12 hours, but my stand ring is still on 9/12. Any ideas?

Hi willhanley,

It sounds like you're using the Activity app with your Apple Watch, and the Stand ring doesn't appear to be correct, is that right? We'd love to help.

The Stand ring shows how many times in the day you’ve stood and moved for at least one minute per hour. If you've moved and stood for at least an hour, and the the Stand ring doesn't seem to be accurate, we'd suggest going through the steps on the following page to help calibrate your Apple Watch for improved Activity accuracy:

Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy

Also, please ensure that "Wrist Detection" is enabled correctly. If Wrist Detection got turned off, your Apple Watch won't be able track your Stand progress. More about how to check that under the "Make sure that Wrist Detection is on" part of this page:

Take care!

willhanley,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. From the screenshot you provided, we do see that the Activity app is showing 13 stand hours, but only 9 were counted, so we'd like to look into this further.

Just to clarify, if you view your activity on the Apple Watch directly, do your stand hours appear as expected there? In case you'd like a reference, you can find more about viewing your activity in the Activity app on your Apple Watch here: Track daily activity with Apple Watch

To help narrow this down further, can you also confirm which software versions your Apple Watch and your iPhone are running? Here's how to find the iOS version number: Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Also, since noticing this issue, have you had a chance to restart your iPhone and your Apple Watch to see if that has any affect on the issue? If not, here are the steps to restart your devices:

Restart your iPhone

Thanks!

willhanley,

Thanks for letting us know.

It sounds like your Apple Watch's paired iPhone is running an older software version, as iOS 13.6.1 was recently released. To help rule out a possible software related cause, we'd like to get your iPhone updated the latest iOS.

When you can, please back up and update your iPhone using the steps outlined on the following page, and let us know if that changes anything:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

As for the Perfect Week award, you should earn an award within 9 days of completing a goal for an Activity Challenge. You can find more information about that under the "If you complete a goal, but don't earn the award" part of the below page:

Earn Activity awards using your Apple Watch

Thank you!

Thanks karina184,

When I was viewing my stand hours on my Apple Watch this day, the hours said 9/12 but the bars were at 13/12. I restarted both my phone and Apple Watch and that was when I received my Stand goal notification. However, the numbers still read 9/12. I waited until Sunday night to receive my 'Perfect Week' badge, but it has not been awarded.

I'm using iOS 13.6 on my phone and version 6.2.8 (17U63) on my Apple Watch.

Thanks!
