The past few days my phone has been taking screenshots on its own, but it happens so fast I’m not sure if it actually is screenshot. I have no photos in my camera roll either. I rest my privacy/passwords and my phone but it still does the same thing

Hi there Chxvxllx,

We're happy to help you with this. We are understanding that your iPhone seems to be taking random screenshots, but there are no new photos in the Camera roll. Are you hearing the shutter sound when this happens? Are you doing anything specific when this happens, or is it at random? And does the issue persist after restarting the iPhone? Follow the steps here, and let us know:

Restart your iPhone

Cheers!

Hey there Chxvxllx,

Let's make sure this isn't a software issue you're having. Go to Settings > General > About to locate the iOS version. If you are not currently using 13.6.1, we'd suggest updating iOS. After creating a backup, follow the steps here to get up-to-date:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Follow up with us if the update doesn't help you with this issue.

Take care and be safe.

Hi again Chxvxllx,

Thanks for that information. Let's look into this some more, and see if we can isolate what's going on. Just to confirm, there are no photos in the Camera roll when or after this happens, correct? What exactly are you seeing when it appears that your iPhone has taken a screenshot?

Let us know, and we can go from there.

Have a great day!

There are no photos after. I’ve checked to see but nothing ever comes up. It doesn’t stay long, maybe half a second and then it’s gone. When I do see it, there’s a glance at the surroundings behind me. After noticing it and restarting my phone on the 10th, my screen goes black and then right back to whatever I was doing.
