New Phone - Passcode/iCloud Security Code

Good morning,

I lost my phone recently and am having issues logging into iCloud on my new one. Is the passcode you use to unlock your phone typically the same as the iCloud Security Code they ask for when doing the two-factor authentication? Passcode worked but it's been stuck on the "Enter iCloud Security Code" screen for about 30 minutes now and I;m wondering if the codes may be different.
