Better to use the iCloud for Windows App. It adds an iCloud drive folder, to Windows Explorer, that works and is searchable like any other folder there.

I concur. I was surprised when there were very little options to view files in iCloud when online. I was even more surprised when I realized there is no ability to search for files!! You just have to scroll through and hope you sorted it correctly!

If using the iCloud for Windows application, simply set the Windows Explorer view to list like you would any other folder.

If using the iCloud.com website then there is no List view option there.
