Email folders

Hi. I just bought a new MacBook. Although I've signed into my rocket mail (yahoo) email account, my folders and messages aren't showing. Anyone know a solution? I would be very thankful.

"on my Mac" email folders I updated the OS last week and suddenly my MacBook stopped recognising my charger! Long story short, we had to erase and restore the software. When I restored my files from Time Machine however, the "on my Mac" email folders were no longer in mail! Both my gmail accounts and my iCloud accounts are up and working with their folders but the folders I was storing emails in locally have gone. Any ideas how I can get them back? Thanks

email folders Having troubles with mail folders on my Mac. I drag & drop an email into a specific folder but ends up coming back into the inbox folder? How do I fix this problem?

Is your account set up as IMAP? If it was POP on a prior computer, the mail was stored locally not on the mail server.
